Today is the bicentenary of Antonio Meucci birth, the real inventor of the telephone. On the past June 15th, 2002, the US Congress officially recognized that the Italian inventor Antonio Meucci is to be credited for the invention of the telephone, and not Alexander G. Bell, as so far claimed.
This resolution noted that “if Meucci had been able to pay the $10 fee to maintain the caveat after 1874, no patent could have been issued to Bell”.
Google.it changed logo today, but .com don’t, as they did before for Bell celebration on April, 13. Shame!

This post is also in loving memory of my grandfather Mario, he was also an electrician and he taught me so many things, and he would surely be pleased about the “happy” ending of Meucci hystorical debate.
